Advice to an Apprentice.

if something is going to take longer than you priced don't speed up , just take the hit on the money. learn from it the next time. it is harder to repair the damaged reputation than earn the lost money

Don't take jobs on by yourself until you have the skill to provide a competent job within the time scale allowed and within the budget given.
Everyone needs to gain experience but not at the detriment of turning out sub standard work and letting our trade down.

All good advice above listen to your mentor, if they tell you they know every thing about tiling, they are kidding themselves. A good tiler never stops learning, we must keep up with the changes in our noble trade, that is why I still love the challenge each job brings.

An old saying "there is no such thing as a bad student, only bad teachers" enjoy the job, happy tiling folks.
