any advice re bad tiling job would be appreciated

what a carry on though and stress since thurs over it, ive got someone coming 2 moz to look, I don't mind having a couple of quotes, I didn't think anyone was near me on here

oh I agree with u there, ive asked her to email me proof of purchase , I got them online walls and floors , she said going to sort it tomorrow, so should I get her to change from pre mix adhesive I got to bagged stuff then , as someone said its not suitable for bigger tiles ?

I really appreciate all your help guys and thx a lot mr tea bag for that lovely offer, I might still need u yet if she starts backing out of it 2 moz lol

lol no problem... i think tbh you purchased the tubbed so she is only responsible for repl;acement and if she delivers on that promise i would be very greateful... so talk your neighbour into tiling there kitchen and sell them the adhesive and then go and get yourself some cement based lol...

not greatful to her but greatful you have managed to get anything back!

the bagged stuff is a lot cheaper so would save her money , ive just had my kitchen tiled by my step dad and he did a better job than she did lol, ive only been here a few mths and none of the neighbours have introduced themselves so I don't even know them but can hear them, noisy sods lol, im thinking about getting sound proofing so reduce it a bit

we will see , I don't want to start getting tiles knocked off then her change her mind and me be in a worse mess

oh right sorry , I was just wanting a rough guide so I know if getting decent quote but that's fine

I will try, i was told yesterday that I shouldn't have 18 mm over board and should have been 9 mm she told me to get 18 mm , and now its going to make it tricker to take loo out and will have a gap under my bathroom door as she didn't start floor tiling under it etc, so should I get that all re done too, omg what a nightmare just gets worse and worse and im so worried my underfloor heating will not survive all this

She is sort of right about the 18mm....its 15mm actually but thats hard to find. If the subfloor was in good condition and free from deflection a 6mm tile backer board could have been used. This is standard practice these days.

so do I leave this 18 mm down or get 9 mm put down instead then, with the tiles and adhesive im going to have a 25 mm increase in height from landing to bathroom, the floor was in ok condition , the centre area was fine the sides where it had been taken up loads for rewiring and plumbing wasn't so great but then the sides near airing cupboard wouldn't really be walked on , I can only ask her for like to like replacement , that's the problem , is back board dearer

oh nightmare then grr, I wish I hadn't have bought this dam house been nothing but hassle for 5 mths as whole house needed renovating top to bottom grrr. so I either leave to try salvage heating mat and then hope toilet has some adjustment to move about, the plumber said theres some but will need a new connection on the back no idea how much that will be
