i got a few small jobs come in and i got a big job to price up tomorrow, 2 full bathrooms and 2 en-suites. i tiled it when it was new about 10 yrs ago but the house has been flooded and partially re-built. fingers crossed eh?

I'm now booked up for a month, but I'm only getting around 50 % of the quotes I'm doing. I'm not unhappy with that, albeit, evening wasted on clients who want things done for nothing!

Example, I went to Wimbledon for a bloke who owns a load of flats. Top of the range pocelian tiles, over 50 notes a m2. I was recommended via the shop I use. Three flats in an old vic house.

Blow me down, the previous tiling company sent some lad there, didn't have the cutting gear for 900 x 300 tiles, cut short a ally trim on a window by 30 mm and tried to put grout in to hide it!

So I went in at 27.00p per m2 and didn't get the job!

I'm as Dead as a DODO at the moment :yikes:, and this should be my buzzy-time!!, some peep's are flat-out ,and some have gone bust!!in the pool industry

to say I'm supposed to be part time at the moment, things are busy for me. Starting the big pool/spa job at a Lakes hotel in the morning. Ten days of 12 hour shifts

on way home from work this evening i priced up a bathroom in a 300 year old house :yikes:
Got the job and will squeeze it in before a marble bathroom that is already booked in in 3 weeks time and thats before 2 full houses too !! i have my book better organized where i now have dates i expect to get to customers.

picked up a couple of small jobs today,7 m2 ceramic floor and a small porch with quarrys.......not big jobs but will help get my name around

I think the actual pool isn't being touched Gooner, it's all the changing areas and approach floor to pool. All Porcelanosa tiles too will certainly post pics tho mate.
