John, My other post got lost :mad2: but here is the book I just finished: The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad.

My all-time favorite novel is The Count of Monte Cristo, by Dumas. If you can slog through the unabridged version it's worth it.

Before I finished the Conrad novel I just re-read all of Poe's short stories.

As for the bible :dizzy2:................I only read true stories with factual evidence......[/QUOTE]
So if it is all a load of nonsense why when someone is asked in a court of law to give evidence do they have to swear on the bible? And can you tell me pleas where 90% of the laws for this country come from. And if it is not fact and it is purely fiction why did the leaders and founders of nations use it as a moral grounding? And when historians talk abut periods in history why do they use the birth of Jesus as a reference point in time if as you say it is just fiction? As I said The bible is a good read.

read a book called- The Damage Done: Twelve Years of Hell in a Bangkok Prison by warren fellows. Its a true story, i could not put it down.
Another good read is- Yes Man by Danny Wallace, they made a film of it aswell but its nothing on the book. Its about a guy who says yes to every question he is asked for a year, its very funny and true, the guy actually did it.
Just a couple i enjoyed.
