Just wanted to test the water between all you guys on here, there are many posts on here where people are struggling to get the work, you have done your training but just on tiling, what you may be lacking is the sales skills, marketing and motavational skills to become successfull, my family ran a successfull business and passed on the key skills to me at a very early stage in my life and i have been self employed now for 22 years maximising profits to be made from tiling, i have been on loads of sales courses which paid off when comming to win business quotes and understanding your customers.
Large complanys always send their staff on these kind of courses on how to win business and they work
I was thinking of running a one day course on the above and condensing the best of what ive was taught over the years, anyone that has been on my course has had a taster of what i can teach in how to make money from tiling, just wondering if anyone would be interested in such a course.

Regards
Darren

Nice move mate.

Hi Mate, people buy off people they like, so there is a knack to getting your skills and your personality over to the customer to convince them your the one to pick, get it right and your laughing all the way to the bank, get it wrong and you may be heading for another job, remember no customer conversions, no tiling jobs

i have been very lucky in some respects. my old company spent thousands and i mean thousands on training. i had a 1 week course in london with a guy called tony robbins www.tonyrobbins.com they dont come any bigger than him. literally, hes 6'7 lol

also was fortunate enough to do a 1 week workshop with richard bandler and paul mckenna along with other dale carnegie courses....its all good but you can do as many sales courses as you like but its your own self will, desire and determination that will find the way.its in us all it just takes something big sometimes to unleash it.
as tony robbins used to say, the best motivators are inspiration and despiration.

but what darren will teach you is some good solid, proven techniques that you might just be missing. a bit like trying to burst a hole in a wall when theres a door right next to you if you get what i mean.

i am sure darren will put on an excellent course. darren looks more like seb coe than simon cowell. i think hes done a bit of modelling in the past ;0)

all the best.........
