Re: Using KeraFlex on Ply

single part flex for walls and fast flex for floors ball adhesive:thumbsup:
which Bal adhesive is recomended to fix the steel shower tray to the plywood floor. it needs to be supported in the middle of the tray, so need to adhesive tht can be built up, upto 15mm in places...

thanks

the perimeter of the tray will rest on the ply, but the middle slopes towards the drian hole. So, the areas furthest away from the drain hole will need the greatest thickness of adhesive for support...

sorry about my poor explanation..

i'll try to get a pic sorted. the tray is a Kaldewei superplan xxl (25mm height), and is going into an alcove, with tiles coming down to finish on top the tray on 3 sides (with Silicon gap of course). tilings been done except last half tile at the bottom where the shwer tray will go..

pic of the tray. the tray is deeper on the left, on the drain hole side so water can flow towards the drain hole. If you imagine the underside of the tray, the area around the drain hole will be closer to the wooden floor. And the area on the right hand side needs a thicker depth of adhesive to make contact between tray and floor...

Id be inclined to use sand cement to bed it down. I had a look at Kaldewei instructions and they use polystyrene spacer blocks.
