I have some tiles that have not stuck to the floor and have adhesive on them. I would like to try and remove the adhesive any suggestions??
i have heard of people soaking the tiles in a bucket of water to loosen the adhesive then scraping it off.Never tried it with powdered adhesive but it works with dispersion adhesive.![]()
Not sure what that has to do with removing adhesive from the bottom of tiles that have come up from the floor :whatchutalkingaboutBe a bit cleaner in the first place!
Sorry Grumpy,my mistake didn't read the question properly![]()
In spain we use a product called 'Agua fuerte' which means strong water available in all supermarkets. (Dont leave it on for more than 20 mins) It's basically similar to Nitric acid, it dissolves any cement based product without damaging the glaze on tiles. (make sure there are no aluminium, steel or metal products around or they will get rust spots just from the fumes) I have had to use it on some of my tools that I foolishly lent out and also to removed grout that was many months old on badly installed jobs. In the UK look for a liquid with this in!!
Hope this helps
