Anyone come across this before.
my friend is selling their house and at the last minute the buyer asks for a professional to take a core sample of the concrete floor due to it being of a certain age and could be a problem. So along comes the man and takes a core sample. Seems she now has to have a new concrete floor and this will mean new kitchen and WC ???
Any ideas ?

Fill the hole in and get a new buyer..........

Never heard of that Neale, its not built on a raft of concrete is it?

the only thing i can think of is that theres been water damage at some point like flooding, because i'm sure it wouldn't show up any movement in the building

Nope if i remember rightly they were told that the concrete could give of some harmful dust. ???

I got an idea, Neale, you go round with some primer, prime the floor and then fix some really lovely floor tiles. That'll stop them asking for core samples
