Concrete floor problem

Anyone come across this before.
my friend is selling their house and at the last minute the buyer asks for a professional to take a core sample of the concrete floor due to it being of a certain age and could be a problem. So along comes the man and takes a core sample. Seems she now has to have a new concrete floor and this will mean new kitchen and WC ???
Any ideas ?

the only thing i can think of is that theres been water damage at some point like flooding,because i'm sure it wouldn't show up any movement in the building

Nope if i remember rightly they were told that the concrete could give of some harmful dust. ???

I got an idea, Neale, you go round with some primer, prime the floor and then fix some really lovely floor tiles. That'll stop them asking for core samples

some form of asbestos maybe?
