It sounds worth a punt Enduro, one job and it will pay for itself .

On a similar vein, I have been thinking about getting a Saturday market stall to sell tiles from, should pick up a few fixing jobs from it too. I reckon in these so called credit crunch times, people will feel that they are getting a bargain by purchasing tiles from a market rather than plush store??

Hi Enduro,

A buddy of mine went to one of those home-expo things, split a booth with another guy (big $$$, something like $2000 for the weekend! :yikes: ) , but he thought it was worth it because he got quite a few jobs out of it. He was organized and had displays, handouts, etc., and he got quite a few calls afterwards.

I've had a stand and sold a few things and Country shows! Always made my money back and then some. Sometime making quite a bit.

Also did other local County shows and ehibitions. It's just a case of getting next to a stand similar to you, and trying to avoid being right next to your competition, or at least the ones with better deals. And if there are no competition, perhaps it would be a wise move for the first guy.

Well done for think about that. I bet you also enjoyed being there which is a must when it comes to selling your skills.
