dont worry phil, i am pulling there leg.....lol

like you said, each to there own. they are good but they aint for me, i know i wouldnt like the pulling action. and i dont like the obscured view of the line. thats why i got rid of my montolits'...great cutters but i prefer rubi for that reason.

rubi for me ;0) anyway, if there're good enough for phil hobson, deano, tj, pjc, doug, etc then there certainly good enough for me ;0)

I've done loads of jobs with 60 x 60 Eagle J polished porcelain and had absolutely no probs cutting with my Rubi Tr600s. I use the gold 18mm wheel - happy days!

Thank you Ed, you had me worried for a while there mate. I know all these cutters are top notch, and the banter is just a bit of fun:thumbsup:

If your cutting polished porcelain wet a cpc2 rubi blade is the way forward because it is slightly thinner than any other blade so more presice but why not cut dry a tx700n will cut slithers 18mm wide with a good edge, more than good enough

Thanks. Sounds like I might need a different cutter then....

I assume I could hire a tx700n from somewhere??

I'm a DIYer, so dont need to invest in buying one!!

Are they easy to use??

I use a Kaufmann topline 1200mm cutter, dry cutter does the job on any size porcelain tile it will take of 35/40mm slivers 1200mm long. You get what you pay for....
