My local Buildbase do a product made by Dulux that solidifies the paint and makes it suitable for landfill disposal. Not sure what it is called but, apparently, it does what it says on the tin.
thanks captain
im aware of that and ill be using it, more expense:mad2:
what will happen now is that painters will drop the paint into customers wheelie bins
we shouldnt be carrying it on the vans now as its classed as waste and we need a waste disposal licence to carry it

I was asking about tub which emulsifies when wet and creates the same hazzard as paint
as no one has had a letter ffrom the hse on this im assuming that tub doesnt fall under the same regs and can be skipped

I dont have 'waste' i only have off cuts and left over addy etc that i may use on another job or save as spares!!

I was pulled into a multi agency roadblock about four years ago

they checked everything including the contents of my van

everything was stock in hand to be used on another job and the bags of wood offcuts were firewood
i could tell they didnt believe me and they photographed everything in case it turned up in a layby somewhere

since then ive been getting letters concerning carrying and disposing of waste

i did find out through this that skipped waste is traceable and you will be prosecuted for sending controlled waste to landfill

I got an official warning that day and I will be prosecuted next time
