Thanks for the lend of you eyes lads  Feel much better

I need to PUNCH something these days because....................................................

There are "NO EMPLOYEES ANYMORE"

Well I had one guy working for me and then he tells me he needs paid of as he has problems with his back and surgeon told him to maybe look at giving up his work. So he takes surgeon to his word and quits same day no notice no warning just tells me he is finished and is going to claim from the goverment. Well in one way lot less hassle for me long term sick etc.

Well I was away working in London a couple of days come back to the site I have contract on and guess what !! the **** has made an amazing recovery and has started up on his own even got his ex wife to fund him. I had not priced for the splash backs in the kitchens so the guys that own the site have given him them to do. pee'd off is not the word I was raging. I dont mind guys starting up themselves but not having the balls to say it to my face annoys me. I would have used him for jobs and subbed work to him. Worst thing is I trained him on lots of stuff like natural stone he never used half the tools I have and he is time served.

We cleared the air last week and he is going to do subby work for me as for hiring anyone else I am having serious doubts. They are more hassle than they are worth unless you land lucky and get some decent guys.

Had to laugh though he came up to me and asked if he could borrow one of my wash boys as he cannot get one locally and you can guess my answer. LOL was nice to see him with the sponge and bucket.

on the flipside of this I've worked for several companies over the years and always given good service. no time off work, lots of overtime, often upaid, always gone the extra mile and yet at the end, when i've wanted something then suddenly amnesia sets in
