I have had the fein for 3 years and still running strong.

You do get the feel of it been a very solid and powerful tool.

As for the blades i have come across places that sell very good and a lot cheaper blades that fit the latest Fein so would not let the price of Fein blades be an issue.

My good friend the spanish tiler has both the Bosch and Fein so would be worth pm him if he is not around.

You can be assured Robs views on the 2 will be accurate.

I umed and ared about spending that sort of money on a Fein that I thought I could do without. After a few months, I bit the bullet and bought one from Tile Trader [Forum main sponsor] and have never doubted its build quality and the reliability of equipment. I have worked it to a frazzle on several occasions - continous running - up to an hour or more, never fails.
That said, the blades from fein are expensive, however, Imperial - USA, make and sell a cheaper equivalent for wood and metal which I now buy.

If you want diamond blades, I have developed a 60 grit resin bonded 5mm deep finish on a standard fein blade. 25mm wide, they are about £45 each so they are not for the fein't hearthed [Very sorry about that - just could not resist it] but the perform well.

I been bashing on for years on this forum about ' You only get what you pay for ' and in the main it still holds true - maybe not in the case of Bentley Cars, - oh they are UK built of course, but if you can warrant paying about £100 more for a Fein, it will repay you in a very short while.

Why buy Ford if you can afford a Merc. ?

I've got a dremmel, it's quite restricted due to the blade spinning as opposed to oscillating. It's quite an old model, there may be a newer version that's more capable.

No, mine oscillates, like the Bosch or Fein, Pete, pjc, got it from the States a couple of years ago, and of course, being the U.S it's 110v, result

After using both, but owning neither, i'd say i prefer the Fein for two reasons.. Much better quality box, which can fit more in.. And the quick release for changing blades. Saying that, my mate has only had his Fein since the summer, and the switch is already playing up (it can be hard to turn on/off at times), but i imagine he could get that sorted under guarantee, if it becomes a real issue. I'm sure he got his for way less than £200 though at a trade fair, so a great buy. Whether i'd pay £200 for it, i'm not so sure. ;)

Ive had 2 of the green bosch multitools (180)i had a good bit of use out the first one so when that eventually packed up i decided to buy a replica being it only cost £70 ish.The second one only lasted about 4 months and it hadnt had that much abuse. So i didnt know weather to buy the bosch 250 or the fein.Ive never heard one bad review of the fein so done a bit of looking around on the net and managed to get the basic set (bag instead of box) for £110 plus vat -£132 +£6 delivery.Only used a couple of times yet but it does seem a solid piece of gear.

I have the Bosch GOP250 but would probably get the Fein next time. The GOP burnt itself out after a few months and since getting the motor replaced it's been a bit rattley ever since. 3 year warranty though so for £110 it won't really owe me anything. The £30 ones have a good motor but only have 4 lugs to set the blade into rather than the 20ish the Bosch has. They shear lugs easily too but well worth the money.

I see Makita do one as well! Just to throw another option into the mix!

Have you tried the Makita one Bri? I have replaced most of my stuff with Makita 18v litium ion and the multi cutter was going to be my next purchase.

I have the bosch pmf180 and i find it ok but not that great, had it about 18months and its been replaced once.

I've had a look online but not used one. It's a similar price to the fein so of the two, I'd probably choose the fein. The Bosch is half the price so was thinking it would be a good option if it was up for the job, a few people seem to be saying they have burnt theirs out. I think a fein is the one to go for by the looks of what others have said.
