Fein or Bosch multi tool

Bri, Wickes even do one now... It's just a bit tricky getting hold of the blades at the moment. Then there's Erbaur (not sure on the spelling!?!), which take all the blades!! 😉

don't get the cordless bosch one Bri whatever you do,,got to go down as one of my biggest wastes of money ever. Fein (corded) is superb though.

:wave2:

Ive had 2 of the green bosch multitools (180)i had a good bit of use out the first one so when that eventually packed up i decided to buy a replica being it only cost £70 ish.The second one only lasted about 4 months and it hadnt had that much abuse. So i didnt know weather to buy the bosch 250 or the fein.Ive never heard one bad review of the fein so done a bit of looking around on the net and managed to get the basic set (bag instead of box) for £110 plus vat -£132 +£6 delivery.Only used a couple of times yet but it does seem a solid piece of gear.

I've had the corded DIY version of the Bosch multi tool for roughly 5 years now, And its still going strong , its cut more solid oak than mdf no burn out yet!

I have the Bosch GOP250 but would probably get the Fein next time. The GOP burnt itself out after a few months and since getting the motor replaced it's been a bit rattley ever since. 3 year warranty though so for £110 it won't really owe me anything. The £30 ones have a good motor but only have 4 lugs to set the blade into rather than the 20ish the Bosch has. They shear lugs easily too but well worth the money.

Had my Fein quite a while now , no complaints here but it is deffo better machine than the bosch pf180 i used to use.

I see Makita do one as well! Just to throw another option into the mix!

Have you tried the Makita one Bri? I have replaced most of my stuff with Makita 18v litium ion and the multi cutter was going to be my next purchase.

I have the bosch pmf180 and i find it ok but not that great, had it about 18months and its been replaced once.

I've had a look online but not used one. It's a similar price to the fein so of the two, I'd probably choose the fein. The Bosch is half the price so was thinking it would be a good option if it was up for the job, a few people seem to be saying they have burnt theirs out. I think a fein is the one to go for by the looks of what others have said.
