Hi all, I've been a company car driver with no claims for 9 years. I now have 0 yrs ncb now that I need to insure a van! Can anyone recommend insurance? I am 31 with 0 ncb and 3 points (sp50 - whoops!) It's only for an old Berlingo and the cheapest I can find is approx £450 3rd part F&T. Any recommendations? (sorry if this is posted in the wrong place!) Thanks...

who quoted that price

try wwwconfused.com or wwwcomparethemarket.com

i use my own car as the average family car can take 15m2 and if fully comp business cover except tools is standard

hope this helps

andy

can you not transfer your no claims over from the company car..surley it should count.......dave..

Try Budget insurance mate. I went with them on my old L reg Astra van and got it for about £300 i think with 2 years no claims and 6 points on my licence. I'll double check on the price.

I used these people for my 1st van this year :

[DLMURL="http://www.evaninsurance.co.uk"]eVan Insurance - Cheap online van insurance, get a low cost insurance quote from eVan Insurance[/DLMURL]

I've got a citroen berlingo 1.9 d 2 dr, elegance. I tried all sorts of companies, ranging from 600 - 340 pounds.

They came up with 285 pounds fully comp, 150 excess, transfer pnc's from my family car, and free home start/break down & legal ins.

I thought it was a bargain, so I went with them.

Remember, you'll always pay more for your insurance if you use comparrison websites like confused etc.
My car worked out nearly £70 more when quoted through comparrison sites than going direct.

I use my family car "mondeo" for tiling as I already often have problems managing to park outside my own home with just the car, never mind having a van too, and I have pleanty of room for 20 sqm of tiles, all adhesives, grout and tools... just, lol

I'm getting by just fine with my wife's car at the mo - trouble is she's not too happy without it! selfish or what?!
