Hi Lads, managed to wangle a working holiday in the middle of France in a month or so. Question is what floor adhesive. The property is a barn conversion with 100 mts of floor to tile. All the floor is new concrete and told the customer to use self leveller if not flat enough. At first I though std rapid set would be ok (just ceramic ) but then I thought, their summers are a lot hotter than ours and as I use flexi rapid set in conservatories!!! In two minds now, any thoughts anyone.
Thanks John

I personally would use flexy. I only really use flexy even though it is a bit more expensive, that way you don't have to stock loads of different types of stuff. Obviously sometimes you need to use specific stuff like mosaic fix or Ardex 7001 but in general all I use is White star or SPF of one sort or another.

Use Mapei single flex.

I only say Mapei, usually BAL, as I know they stock it over there. I did a job there in Oct last year.

Flexy all the way like Grouters, bit more expensive but adds that little bit more confidence if you ask me! Same for grout! Tiles are dirt cheap over there n all, well the ones i laid were!

My flexible adhesives are acc. to EN 12004 C2TE and flexibility acc. to. EN 12002 S1. My clients did use it in hot Greece as well as in Venezuela, working from morning to noon and from 4 pm to 9 pm, when the climate hasen´t raised to full day temperature.
So, if you choose a quality adhesive C2TE S1 it surely will work also in France. Rapid set may be possible but then, depending on the temperature, your working needs a hurry up.
Congratulations for the job, take a trip to the Cote d Azur and don´t forget your credit card when you are there. Cheers, Martin.
