tiled a kitchen for a lady about 2 months ago walls only and when i was nearly finished she asked me how much extra i would charge for the floor. as business was quiet i gave a price that was about a days wage took 2days. Customer was really pleased with the job and said that she was thinking about having her conservatory done in the future. anyway monday morning she phones me to ask for a price but she stipulated that she wanted to pay a fair price as she knew that i had undercharged for the kitchen floor. gave her a price and she went straight out and bought the tiles, started yesterday still got to grout it, while there she gave me a number for her brother as he wants some tiling doing. phoned and went round tonight. booked me in for next week 35m2 bathroom walls only, 18m2 kitchen floor and a 5m2 splash back. while there got a phone call for a kitchen splash booked in for the weekend. got home and got 5 more calls qouting them tomorrow so fingers crossed. Then the first customer phoned up to ask if i can tile her hallway after grouting conservatory. hopefully things are picking up:thumbsup:(sorry that it is so long a thread)

That is great news!
Hopefully she didn't tell the brother and others of the low price you started out with but are now making a decent daily wage!

It does indeed seem to catch up now - we get loads of calls for jobs too these days. Can't complain! :hurray:

Best of luck to you! :)
