Well Hello Everyone, I've been a member for a few months now, but being the shy retiring type I've only just got up the courage to say hi.

Its a fantastic website and I've found it really useful, certainly if I have any problems or require advice on any topic I've been able to find a thread that helps. Keep up the good work and from now on I'll try to be a more active member.

For those interested I'm a shy 6'2" gentleman based in Northampton (sounds like one of those Dating ads doesn't it - not that I do that sort of thing honest, seriously I don't, never have !). I've been involved in property maintenance and home improvements for about 12 months now. I'm pretty much self taught through lots of reading and research, but thats no substitute for experience though! Now I've got a few bathrooms and kitchens under my belt, (and if I say so myself I've done a good job, albeit a bit slow!!) I do wonder if I would benefit from a course?

Anyway look at me rambling on

Catch up with you all soon

Regards

Hi andy welcome to the forums
There are some good training centres about, and in my opinion i think it would definitely enhance your skills attending one of these courses,i am attending NETT next week to develop a new career in tiling,i have done bits and bobs myself but want to learn the professional way,but the course isn't just about the practical side of things,it also lays out the business acumen side of things too which is obviously pretty helpful.
Have a look at the feedback about these centres and this will give you a better picture..
Hope this is of some use to you,and of course don't forget you have lots of info and guidance from everyone on the forum which is you know the greatest forum around..

Cheers

Thanks Den, I appreciate the advice Ive just looked at the Nett website and it does look a comprehensive course and at an affordable price (unlike some others). I definitely would benefit from the business side also - quoting, admin and keeping my records straightis not my strong point! I'll have to talk to the missus and see if she'll let me out for a week in the North East.

Cheers

Andy
