Adhesive wise, bal mosaic fix is designed for mosaics, pools and shower areas, failing that bal white star is fabulous stuff, welcome to the forums Andrew.Any questions please ask away regards GAZ:)

I'll second that Gaz, the only two BAL adhesives i have used are the 'mosaic fix' and 'white star' and they are both superb!

Proper Job

hi this is one of my first posts, i have just finished a 16sqm bathroom of mosiacs swimming pool size 12 x 11 sheets plastic net backings.

4 Sqm mulit coloured greys and whites
12 Sqm White

1. I have tried loads of different types of adhesives in the past from mapei, bal, Dunlop and Biscem and out off all them I found the Biscem the best and it sticks and spreads Well.
2. Walls need to be spot on perfect or forget it the job will look ****, u can only use a 3mm bed of adhesive max.
3. If its glue spots or plastic mesh backings you have the min amount of time to correct them once the backs get wet there shagged.
4. Cutting advice do not wet cut them while attached to mesh backing you can try dry cutting but 8 times out of 10 they will chip. Best option is to cut individual and wet cut.
5. BE patient because they involve a lot of work.
6. Grouting takes a lot longer and just use a hand sponge when wiping down and rub in a circular motion then left and right with lines and should be as good as pegging off.
7. Oh forgot if it’s a shower room or bathroom make sure walls are primed and by shower or bath tanked.

hope this helps
