Hi Folks,
Greetings from deepest Glasgow. First thing I have to say is what a great forum this is. Ive gained a whole heap of useful info from the posts and have held off posting questions of my own cos whenever I want to know something the answer is usually there already:thumbsup:A wee bit about me - I do interior refurbs, mainly bathrooms but other rooms as well. I work on my own which suits me fine until I have to carry a bathroom suite and 40 boxes of tiles to the top floor of a tenement block:yikes: Ive been in business for 4 years and so far all has gone well with a reasonably steady flow of work.
Ive got a wetroom to do in a month or so for a handicapped (wheelchair bound) person. Theyve asked me if I can do a welded vinyl floor but from what Ive read from various sources on the internet this might not be a great idea, apparently they are prone to wear, leakage and need to installed by a specialist. Also Im not sure if a vinyl floor is compatible with tiled walls !?! Ive done wetrooms before but they have been tiled throughout and have never caused a problem. Guess my plan will be to try and convince them that tiling is the way to go:yes: However if anyone has any advice Id love to hear from you,
Adios amigos.

I do plenty of rooms with vinyl flooring but as you say its a specialist job. As for wall tiles then you would use a trim ( captile/tile to vinyl trim), Sorted

Oh and :welcome:

:welcome:m8, trade tiler do a tile to vinyl trim costs about £2.50 for a 2.44m length but you've got to buy 10

Hi mate and:welcome: re: welded Altro wet rooms. There are a few trims on the market, tile to Altro. Altro usually is laid 100mm up the wall, as a skirting, then trim. NB. trim and tiles go on 1st:thumbsup:
