How do you survive!

That's very cheap, I paid £100 for 5000 from my local print shop...that was full colour on both sides on glossy paper...excellent quality - far better than my last ones i got from leyland.

Being self employed is never smooth so in the past I've done other things to help out. My wife is a second income and we have no kids so we both work.

In the past my wife was made redundant so we lived off mine for a while till she found her feet. She's supporting me for three years while I get this company off the ground (its now the end of year 2 and we are about to go to the third year...) Hope to be independant in 12months time.

I'm full time & keeping afloat at the minute. I was at the local building college, where my lad goes the other evening, and had two builders who saw me in my van ask me if I was busy & if they could have a card..................lovely......:hurray:

ah yeah if i actually wanted to do some tiling id have my boots on and go out flyering the town straight away, if anything i want to take the tiling part off my van as id rather not do any than be paid to do tiling, i really do not like tiling but, im slowly starting to find each job less painfull so maybe ill someday enjoy it, ive given up too easily on too much and i dotn want to risk it again now

I find tiling a pain in the butt, i just do it part time now..

nothing wrong with leyland mark its a local town lol

I work in general home improvements but I keep the jobs small. I dont' go after extensions or complete refurbs, uness it's one of ours.

Tiling is part of my bathroom/shower fitting. Despite my offering a range of stuff I seemed to have found a lot of bathroom and tiling work.

At the moment I'm working at the cheaper end of the market, where people buy their own tiles from B&Q (yuk I know), but it pays the bills and, not everyone has the money to go and buy the best. Fact of life I suppose.

I guess it's because I don't have a lot of overheads, can be fairly flexable about what I can do, and am getting a bit of a reputation in the village (good I hope).

Also, this is supplemented by our other income from wife working and property.

At the moment we're renovating our house and splitting it into 2, so quite periods are quite handy, when I get them.
