Is a profile guage a useful tool??

Here's 1 of about 30 they made me do at Diamond. I'm so glad they did now coz I know I can get them spot on every time now.

that was cut on a ts 40 too, never knew u could do curved cuts on a straight cutter, steve
You didnt need to learn how to do curved cuts at a training centre , in every rubi cutter is a booklet showing you how to do curved cuts!

lol you know I've never even read those.

but what if you dont have a rubi cutter bal?
havent bought another make of cutter so cant comment but to be truthful think i only discovered it in booklet by accident and thought that was a supprise but if you buy a product it should come with instructions !

I've never used a profile guage.
I cut a thin strip off the edge of a tile and use that to plot the shape to be cut. Personally, I always find it accurate and pretty quick too.

Slightly off topic, 😳, but it is only certain dry cutters that can be used to cut "shapes". My local Tile Giant are trying to organise a demo day from Rubi, where the Rubi technical staff bring along a number of cutters and demonstrate how to cut shapes with a dry cutter - should be interesting to watch / learn new tecniques, as I've only cut curves up to now .
