Anything more than a skim of levelling compound then I just stick off cuts of tiles to level datum heights and flood it to them!

Another tool in the van, i bought one a while ago. Screwfix special. I guess the glue sets quicker than Silicon.

never had a problem with silicon, uses up old tubes
