Well obviously I didn't do it correctly, but I know that. I was trying to work it so that a grout line would meet with the one either level with the top of the sink or the shelf above the sink, but I spent so long with different measurements and different tile sizes I got slightly confuddled

we all get confuddled now and again Minnie, don't worry about it

are you tiling above the window sill area?

I hadn't planned to as I'm not sure how high to go and if I do, then where to put the border?

I need to do some work on the window sill. Despite being the same length and width, it's totally wonky, so I'm going to have to level it out as it looks really bad and I'm not sure how to sort it

It's all these numbers confusing my wee brain. Give me any word to spell and I'll have no problem, but show me numbers and my brain goes into meltdown

why dont you use a piece of plasterboard on the windowsill and that way you will make the area a little higher for your border.

Is plasterboard cheap? I'm on a bit of a budget. How do I attach it? Are drills needed? I don't have any power tools - I'm scared of them.

I also have to take into account the window frame? Or do I not? If I went above the bottom of the window frame, the plasterboard wouldn't be able to go all the way back (unless I cut round the frame).

Wouldn't it get damp?
