Anyway , why would you need strips that thin anyways?

Like to see a test of cutting a curve on a flat bed , I did a small test on my TX1200N a few years ago more as a reply to a guy who was using a grinder than anything else and a sort of tip type of thing. Never actually took it to the extreme to see what could be done , might have a go over the next couple of weeks.
One for the test lab?

Anyways heres my effort on my 1200

You can do this with a Sigma no problem. You can even get a tighter curve if you needed it. I will do a video also.

That 50/50 test isn't really much of a test, and yet is the one I always see... What I would like to see, is a cutter taking 10mm off the edge of a full tile. Much more useful. 😉
Diggy, you can put a Rubi wheel into a wooden handle to scribe the curve free hand, rather than trying to scribe and turn the tile on the cutter.. I haven't tried it your way, but it looks more tricky. 😉

Yeah your right. It will be the max or Klick Klock handle. I used to do those cuts at trade days on TS60+ as the pin comes up from underneath you can see the tile opening up as you put pressure on it. It follows the line and away you go. Too much pressure though and it will smash. The hardest one is trying to get a square from the top corner of a tile as it will always break at the weakest point. Worked a couple of times but no.

Someone on here has already put a video up of taking a strip off the side of a whole tile. Anyone remember who it was?.

I'd like to SEE that as well beanz , I'm all for new little tricks even after 24 years of tiling.

Never too old to learn as they say.

Diggy :0)

Learnt on Sigmas. Took a while to get used to the techniques required for different types of tile but once you do, it's second nature. Never had tge problem of not seeing the point of scribe. Used Rubi a few times. Realised within 10 minutes that the fixed breaker on a TS is useless in everyday situations. TX was reasonable but a lot slower than a Sigma.

Never tried a square , done a scribe down then ,about a 45degree with some success in the past.
