Finished a job for a 'pal' last week. 15sqm porcelain 600x300.Absolutely loved his bathroom after, even his grumpyarsed wife did aswell.Conned into removing old tiles, replasterboarded, primed, layed, built bathframe to tile aswell, disposed of all old tiles. All for £400 inc mats( f****ing love jobs).Rang me three days later to say id knocked waste pipe on toilet and had been dripping and has wrecked his amtico floor.Wants £200 for his floor and £50 to pay plumber to fix, what a pal eh!. Lesson 1.never take off other peoples tiles. Lesson 2 Never do jobs for property developing pals, theyre such f***ing tightarses.lesson 3 Get liabilty insurance when you first start upo and dont put it off! Anyone know a good company CHEERS!! got to keep smiling:wink_smile:

love that term 'property developer'. To me that translates to 'im crap on the tools so I just bark orders at everyone else'.
£400 for all that was bloody cheap anyway and now he wants £250 back?
Id have stopped calling him a mate a long time ago.
A bit of water dripping shouldnt really affect amtico anyway I wouldnt have thought. (unless he paid crap money for that aswell!)
My Public Liability is £65 a year for up to £2million cover with a local broker. Get some!
Good luck mate.
