Marble Help

Has anyone tryed to lift a marble floor and remove addy from the tiles without damaging, customer wants to save them as they cost £3000:helpsmilie:
Addy used was that "unibond stuff from a shed."

Yes I have done this before but I didn't know what adhesive was used. I tried it because as with marble it was the only way to break the seal without causing leverage on the tile or vibration. I will try anything within reason as I am not a defeatist. You learn more by trying.

As they say, don't knock it untill you have tried it!

Do you mean sliding the saw under the tile edge and trying to cut through the adhesive bed..? thus releasing the tiles..
 
OK.. I think the lads thought you meant sawing the tiles in half..:lol:
no ,I understood what Aqua meant just when we used to cut architraves down holding a saw off the floor by 10mm it was difficult enough with out scrapping your knuckles, what Aqua is suggesting borders on the ridiculus, what ever the adhesive

Yes hard work gary... i thought you lot thought he meant he thought that it was thought to be cutting tiles in half..just a thought..:smilewinkgrin:
