Mosaics and Not No More Nails

I'm going to be putting ceramic mosaics into a built-in shower enclosure.
The enclosure will be lined with Wedi-board, and most of the job is pretty standard.

There are, however, a few really fiddly bits, which will be tricky to get tiles into in a very tidy manner.

I did some experiments a while back, in a non-wet environment, fixing small numbers of marble mosaics using a high-quality, semi-flexible, waterproof builders adhesive (like no-more-nails, but not-no-more-nails).

It was extremely easy, and worked really well, although I wouldn't do it for anything more than just a few fiddly bits.

Has anybody out there used this kind of adhesive?
Am I really mad? or stupid? (be honest, now, I can take it)
Any other comments welcome.

I would'nt, just use the adhesive your using

Just use your standard adhesive.

I did once use something similar, and it was a lot easier, but it never sat well on my conscience, so didn't do it again, (altho' I never heard anything detrimental and it was years ago!)

Hmm, as a mosaic freak I have used 'Sticks like s**t', not on walls but other substrates and it has worked extremely well - on a wall I'd be concerned about the difference in depth between that and the cement adhesive more than anything - I don't know how builders adhesive combines with wediboard, though...so I suppose you have to decide, can't really see it being a disaster ... just detrimental to your sense of purist pride really...:ninja:
