I'm gonna start butting trim on jobs in future in the hope that customers will mitre them when I go home.

He used a grinder to cut his tiles aswell. He told the customer wet wheels are too messy.

And chipped tiles look ok? :mad2:

I love stories like this, I wish I had a pound for every job I've lost to some plonker with cut throat price. Only to get a call 2 weeks later asking if I can rectify the job, they are not happy with:mad2:

Well, just finished laying it. Customer wanted full tile in the doorway, I had no other choice, thats what they wanted (dont tell them I trimmed an inch and a half off the tiles running down the wall away from the door 🙂 )

Obviously I have to clean it up, and grout it yet

Oh and there is a picture to demonstrate how handy 365 drills are 😉

PLEASE NOTE: THE WALL TILING WAS NOT DONE BY ME!

Im not 100% pleased with it because the wall tiler left the tiles up in the air and inch to an inch and a half above the ply floor (why? I have no clue), and with a thin layer of adhesive, ditra matting, an 8mm bed of adhesive, then tiles.....they didnt quite fit under in most places, and of course the tiles/walls kick in and out. Some wall tiles have been cut a bit diagonal for some reason and of course there is not much I can do other than make my work look better.

Why do jobs never work out quite as easily as they should?

Have cleaned thoroughly (damn these tiles are super shiney!) and grouted this morning.

Going back this afternoon to dust off and seal around the room.
