thanks for that Oli...sounds very similar to my kitchen floor.
to be honest,yes the floor was tiled but it wasnt me who noticed the sloping but a builder.....i wreckon i will get away with just tiling and if the s**t hits the fan i will just pull it up again and level it properly.
