Works for me, given up on the water level and plumb lines now though, got one of them new fangled laser things 🙂

Which one do you use buddy? Iv always been a bit weary of laster levels that project round the room.
I normal work in small areas and worry about knocking it over. A few people rave about them.

You will pick up a dewalt 087 for a hundred quid.
Use this & it will be more accurate than using a level.
If I'm working from battens then I've got a set of levels with holes screwed along them & I either fix them to the wall with screws or a glue gun & start fitting tiles (1st row) with rapid set.
You can take levels off the wall in less than an hour & then fill in the bottom row.

If your going round the bath, a level line above the bath to take a cut tile or what suits to fit...found that works at times especially if tanking on the walls has been applied.

Its a fat max with the pole, £120 from Screwfix, I only use it to put the datum round the room then take the pole down, then every batton is set off the staff and datum, its impossible not to line up your corners up, just keep the laser unit in the room for vertical alignments, like full tile up side of a window or boxing etc
