Hi Andy,
You cannot get a course that is equivalent to an NVQ2 purely from classroom work, as an NVQ is purely work based. What people are trying to say is that the course content is pitched at a level 2 difficulty. In laymans terms, it's difficulty is equivalent to a grade A-C GCSE course, if there was such a thing for tiling!! 🙂
However, even though it is a level 2 difficulty course, the CITB only recognise City & Guilds Construction Awards for IMMEDIATE enrolement onto an NVQ programme. As unfair as it may seem, this is the case unfortunately. So even though your course was pitched at Level 2, you will still have to wait 3 years before you can enrol onto an NVQ programme.
None the less, you will still apparantly learn plenty and of course, the feedback from others says it all on here about what NETT does. So if its for you, then go for it both barrels mate 🙂
Good Luck!
