Met with a customer this evening to finalise their new en-suite and to get them to sign off on the quote. So left their house feeling very happy with myself with a job well done and a 40% deposit cheque in my pocket.

As I was getting into my pickup I some how managed to let my iPad slip out of my hand (used for all my sales pitches and probably the reason I got the job) and land on it's edge with a sickening thump.

So the tiling gods have given with one hand and taken away with the other and I'm now sitting here feeling sorry for myself with a glass of red.

Gutted! At least it's still working, the outer panels aren't silly money, so should be a cheap (ish!) repair.

take it to apple my lad did the same thing and they swapped it for a new one i was in and out in less than 10 Minuit. *

Im constantly cracking screens on my iphone (normally around 3am on a saturday...) there's a place near me that replaces the screens for 20 quid, apple wanted over 100 quid! if the screen is still usable i would leave it as it is

Fist time I've cracked a screen on an iPhone or an iPad. Insurance company will repair or replace with a hundred pound excess. Need to persuade my wife to drive to the nearest apple store and see if I can blag a free replacement.......

Its not too expensive to get the glass replaced if nothing else is damaged, mobile phone repair shop is your best bet.

Try the apple shop. A mate dropped his iPhone into water and the fella in the shop said to him "Today's your lucky day, here's a new one". Very nice of them.
