Ive just been to the worst tiling job ive ever seen worse than what sir ramic loaded off you tube got a call last night asking me have a look at a job travertine 60x40 the guy told me he had paid the tiler on Monday but he had not come back to finish the work got there today i could see the tiles were dropping down so i pulled one off there was a blob of addy on each corner at least 4 inch thick 8 inch wide all the tiles had been put on this way i asked him who had put the tiles on some polish tiler & his mate who he had asked to do all the work on his house what addy did he use he told me he had bought this himself he told me 4 bags from topps and the tiler had bought 20 15kg tubs from b&q as well i asked him if the tiles had been sealed no he told me topps said they needed sealing but the tiler said they did not need sealing he asked me what could i do to put things right so i told him they all need to come off and to start again the guy was in tears he had spent a fortune on his bathroom i did not have my camera on me to take any pics but he has took some on his mobile i will try to get them from him so i can post them

I'd be willing to put money on the fact that John Wayneski, has a better grasp of punctuation than your good self though.:lol:

I`ve come across dodgy sausage rolls aswell. Had to fix their work.Girl had to call police to get them to leave, they took her house and car keys, threatened her etc.
But i`ve also come across dodgy customers. The world is full of ars#hol##.:mad2: :furious3:

we should remember it aint only foreigners that are pulling theses stunts,however it seems the fashion for punters to get a coupla poles in to do the job on the cheap.i lost a good earner [£850] to some poles.i didnt waste any time in telling the punter what i thought of the work that was done!!told them to get them back to fix it.funny how the punter has the balls to phone you after the event but cant get in touch with the offenders.my theory is ,the punter knows they have made an arse of themselves.remember,dont mistake racism with having an opinion!! phew thats better!! lol

I know Polish people generally get a bashing on here due to dodgy bad jobs, but try to not forget that there will be many who do a brilliant job too, just like British people, many good ones and many bad ones.

I agree with Adam....bit harsh pulling Poles to bits....this is one incident and I have come across loads of English mickey mouse tilers...there are good and bad in all walks of life...........Gaz

I remember an advert on the local radio station years ago, for a pakistani builders firm, voiced over with the most indian english you have ever heard, "like from it ain't half hot mum... If you remember that, and the advert finished with him saying in a high pitched twang "now you have tried the cowboys, come and try the indians" :lol: ...

Was on a job in november , a polish lad had stuck down 20m of porcelain on a concrete floor with topps redy mixed wall adhesive. He had been paid upfront. Also knicked two tv's and a mobile phone. Crazy.:furious3:
