Post tomorrows Job here

You've done a nice job mate well done for your first floor, you have set it out nicely!

Here is the unlevel door lining, even though it bugged the hell out of me looking at it and yes the tiles are level :hurray:

Talk me through the using of a sponge with angle grinder.

Get a wet sponge & hold it at the back of your grinder guard.
I'm right handed so hold grinder with right hand & put the wet sponge at the back of the guard against the blade with my left hand.
Once you get used to it you will very rarely use a wet saw.
This tip was courtesy of Gary Walsh down at Rays place.

I needed a wet cutter for tomorrow. I was gonna ask my buddy for a leand of his diy one but Im gonna this method like. What do you cut your tile on what surface? Is a soft springy surface better than a solid hard surface?

I hang the tile off of a hop up.
You are better with a softer surface, use some cardboard from the tile boxes.
Have a practice on an off cut of tile & watch your fingers, once you get a hang of this method then you won't use a wet cutter much.

Which is a good all round blade for my 4" grinder m8?

Go onto ATS DiamondTools & order from Alan direct.
Get a continuous rim or a porcelain turbo blade. Don't be put off by the price these blades are some of the best you can buy.

I have just switched to ATS blades I'm using the turbo blade and it wont bloody die lol, it really has put the montolit pro gres to shame and it's 1/3 the price posted!

After reading all the good reports on here about ATS blades I think I'm going to invest when my current one dies.

I wouldn't even wait till your current one dies, I would invest in a blade or 2 now, round about £10 a blade.
Keep the one you have just now as a spare.

I can't visualise what your saying. Do I actually touch the blade with the sponge. Any videos of this method?

At least the plasterer looks to have done a decent job, that's how floating should look, not the figure 8 what some do [emoji106]

Yeah let the blade cut through the sponge so it's picking up water all the time.
Will try & get someone to video me doing it so you know exactly what I'm doing.

Yeah walls are pretty good for a change, got the pipes all filled in today , and walls tanked , tiling started , so roll on Monday !!

That would be great. You must go through some amount of sponges though.
