Re: Tomorrows Job

Ayup steff could you give me a rough estimate of how long the above floor would take you to prime and tile with 300 x 300s? Porcelain

I would say half a day to tile & half an hour to grout.
Don't worry about your speed just now, that will come with more experience.
Concentrate on the getting the floor bang on & looking good.
You will never lose work through quality of work m8 but you will lose it by doing substandard work.

Both jobs look **** hot. Do yous both work to the bubble when tiling or what?

Cheers.
Don't always work to the bubble but try as hard as I can to get it there or there abouts.
Sometimes your wall can be really bad & you've just got to go with it.

I would buy a 700ish Sigma & an angle grinder with an ATS blade.
I rarely use a wet cutter now, an angle grinder & a sponge at the back of it gives a really good cut.

Same as step on walls do my best to get flat but sometimes you just can't do it. Floors I tend to get flat as possible. Some floors will literally run put 40mm with 2m and some customers won't go to the expense of levelling so just make it flat. Bathroom floors tend to be very important to get level as if they are not then the toilet and sink will be out of level to the tiling and if your grout joint is near the sink it will show up.

Both jobs look **** hot. Do yous both work to the bubble when tiling or what? Also im gonna need a decent cutter eventually because im using a rubi pocket 40 and an angle grinder. Would you buy the biggest manual cutter you could afford or an electric cutter?
I've got a sigma 42, 62 and 1020. Wish I would of changed mine to the 37,52,72&1020. Average size tile to start will be less than 600 so get a good cutter and and good blade for your angle grinder.
