Handy for sharpening ya pencils.
at the moment doug im getting through quite a few pencils:lol:

and not much else

it has been a good exercise for me as i am revaluating every aspect of my business

i have got feedback from my existing customers in the guise of a survey to find out how i can improve my service to them

mostly good news

high standard of work , easy to get on with etc

the negatives floored me a bit

scruffy,................... clothes covered in addy and paint, unshaven,
doesnt give them confidence that i can finish to their standards

only got job as i was reccomended or they had seen previous jobs

its all easily rectified as im not a scruff outside work

so its not being a scruff at work thats called for

easily sorted and if thats the only complaint im doing a lot right

want me to take you to the men's product counter at a well known department store Mike? And I know a good men's barber shop.

A bloke who looks after himself and his appearance will always create the best first impression. :20:

im using boots botanic range at the mo...........anti aging moisturiser, skin wash and eye cream

my gear is up to date and trendy

i even have a manbag...........which gets me loads of stick down the pub

i have loads of shoes and hats

im a bit of a metrosexual on the quiet

works another matter

old trainers. check builders shirt and whites which have seen better days

i have to shave twice a day so by the evening i have stubble

my hairs short so its easier to keep clean

so a contrast between work and out of work

laurence llewellen bowen makes a lot of money from interior design

he gives the right impression with suit and tie

i like my suits smart not flouncy but i think its the way to go

plus a new set of whites every week

Hi Mike,

I have spent a good deal of money on company shirts, sweat jackets, etc. All three of us try to shave, have a hair cut, have clean clothes, etc in front of the customers. Once the clothes get dirty we save them for demo days only. I do think it helps a lot, even if only as a subliminal thing for the customers. I told my guys no mulletts or ear rings 😀, and their tattoos are mostly hidden. Our trucks are clean and overall we present a good appearance, and keep the jobsite looking as good as we can.

The shaving thing is my big problem. I hate to shave, and like you I need another one by the afternoon.:mad2:

I've been thinking about getting a straightrazor and trying to learn to use it. Supposedly, this will give a much better shave and maybe I would make it all day without needing another one. Believe it or not, there is a forum for shaving called shavemyface.com LOL the internet!
