Hi everyone

I have been to quote for a few jobs now but I've never heard anything back from them. I price between £20 - £25 per SQM and any prep work (usually go by day rate for prep) on top of that + materials. I don't think this is unreasonable myself and from what I have read my prices are about the going rate. I would charge more for natural stone , mosaics and porcelain and very big tiles. Do you think I should drop my prices ? My day rate is £150. Is this excessive ? I'm just thinking how much will I actually make after tax NI etc....
It is seriously knocking my confidence and I'm wondering if it is because I'm a "girl" and ppl don't think I can do it.
I'm always polite and engaging with the customer but I don't have a hard sales pitch or anything.
Has anyone got any advice because I am getting really demoralised.
Thanks!

Sibs dont b disheartended u r not over pricing at all from what you have said but thereare certains factors you have to take into account
1, Some one else might go in with a really cheap quote to undercut
2, This business has its ups and downs i find it hard think of me am in a 2 man partnership where we have to quote slightly higher to break even.
3, Bear with it mate where bouts are u based ?
Alee the best Raja

mate ring em to see if they have gone ahead with someone else or still thinking about it, i do if i dont hear anything.

Just say im doing an admin day and going through old quotes to cross of list or similar.

Or say your getting really busy and just wanted to let em know if they did want it your availability has changed since you quoted and didnt want them to lose out.

If they went with someone else ask why, price, availability or something else. Im sure they wouldnt mind and good to know why.

Kep smiling matey, can be hard to start. Was and still is for me sometimes!!!

I think you might want to stick Wo in front of that raja mate...... ..( man)

Sib's try dropping your prices slightly and then see what happen's and also ring people after a week and ask if they was happy with your price then you might get little more feed back on how you compare
