Recent Job - what do you think?

...and you would call this 'a good customer'? I dont think so - the guy was a prize pr**k and I should have followed my early instincts to get off the job when daddy pr**k and baby pr**k (his son) stood there each evening picking the work to bits and leaving me a room full of post its the next day! :mad2:

Customers like this need exposing on boards like this - would just hate anyone else to walk right into his arms - especially when he advertised on here for a tiler!

For the record, plumber on the job said it was an excellent job and gave no cause for complaint - I add this as he obviously saw it in broad daylight in case any of the pictures aren't clear!

Can you get me the link to the post where they asked for a tiler on here..?..

Just curious to see that post mate..............I would have stood my ground though and demanded paying in full...from what i can see in those pics it looks ok to me to warrant payment...........

Job looks fine to me, and I would expect full payment for it too.

If they have joined on here and asked for a tiler, then won't pay for the full job when there is nothing wrong with it then that's out of order, or atleast they could do with posting on here as to why they won't pay, but I don't see that happening.

Well Im going to give the guy the chance to openly discuss on here EXACTLY what his problems were - his opening words to me when I went to collect payment were '......well the job is worth between £0.00 and £300 ' - if he's man enough to come here perhaps he would like to start by explaining where he reached this conclusion!

I freely admit that one of my lines MAY have been very slightly out but, as far im concerned the guy set out to rip whoever did the job off by constantly talking about his profession and how he managed jobs like this all the time - in hindsight you really have to wonder why he didnt/couldnt get anyone from 'within' his trade! Unbelievable!

I can't spot anything which would justify dropping the payment. You should deffo collect full pay for this.

If I were you, I would make sure daddy and baby prick wouldn't be able to sire any more pricks.

*Adds another line to the list of good reasons to wear steel toed working shoes*

If customers refuse to pay in full for job, I get an assessor in. If they still refuse, I go to a debt collection agency, and sell it to them. That way, atleast I get paid.

His design and requirement mate - EVERYTHING was done 100% to his spec - as it should be I might add!

he wanted thin slithers in the corners?
i would have just moved the tiles 30mm to the left on the window wall

Dave , i may be wrong but wasnt this the guy who spent weeks preparing his bathroom and then gave up and asked for a tiler ?
If i remember rightly he posted pics of his prep work. I cant find the post though.
