Go and tile the t**ts car with rapid set.I'm not being funny but why are people leaving peoples houses without the full amount. There is no chance on this Earth that i would EVER except the full amount for any job I did.You have to always stick up for yourself.

I heard on the radio yesterday about a builder who wasn't paid for an extension he built so he wen't and took the whole think down, thats exactly what I'd have done.Top Bloke!

Your work is spot on by the way mate,I can see you centered the window and thats how you got the slivers, sometimes it can't be helped.

So what do you do simon give a discount once you have finished..........

Thats bleeding awful. Whats mad it worse for you is spending 2 weeks with this guy. On a job the should be taking 3 days tops.
Looking at the qualityof your work, you should be charging more like £30 psqm.

if its any help as an assessor and lecturer in wall and floor tiling with over 20 years in trade I think you r job looks very good you might have thin slithers to part of wall but you centered the window (focal point) may be in future asking the customer what they prefer (not central bigger cuts etc) If you gave him a written quote I believe he is obliged to pay you the full amount and then claim back any monies for work he is not happy with im not 100% on this but worth looking into I've never been taken for a penny but only because I go wiyh my gut feeling the first sign of a post it i'd be off hope you do ok dont worry he wont be last t88t you have to deal with keep them standards and youll be fine!!!!

Honestly i would have gone mad. If the bloke would have stood there and said "job is worth between £0 and £300" after i had finished i would have belted the cocky get. Know it isn't the best way to deal with things but there is no way i could have stopped myself if someone said that.
Take it further, get a solicitors letter to him for the fee outstanding, even if you end up losing a little cash it is the point of it.
