Doing a Bathroom and en-suite, have removed old adhesive from en-suite with SDS drill with chisel (tried a floor scraper but nothing doing) and plyed out. Dont fancy repeating this in the bathroom though as a lot bigger, any alternatives, dont surpose you can use floor leveller as going onto chipboard so will probably just crack, would I get away with just putting ply over old adhesive (pretty level) after removing any big lumps?

use arditex latex leveller,,great for ply........dave..

ARDITEX
Size (pack): Powder 22kg, Bottles 4.8kg
Coverage: 1.9kg of mortar/m²/mm, i.e. approx 5m² per unit at 3mm thick.
A universal sub-floor smoothing compound, ARDITEX is used for the preparation of cement/sand and concrete screeds, quarry tiles, asphalt, granolithic or terrazzo floors and timber. ARDITEX is partially self-smoothing and can be used under a damp proof membrane.

Suppose you could lift the floor then re ply with marine 3/4". Probabky much easier to use the self leveler!
