Just followed a link and discovered these 'real' stainless steel tiles...could be interesting artistically :drool5:
Has anyone of you ever worked with these before? Can't imagine how you wuld cut them, and what adhesive would you use, just normal bal mosaic fix?
Like the electrician warning, that could be quite interesting in a bathroom :yikes:...any voice of experience?

used stainless steel tiles once in a border, and used bal mosaic fix(no probs to my knowledge),looked really nice!customer got them from, the internet and it worked out £45 a linear metre, don't think i would use them in anything other than a border though!

just a quick question, would they not get scratched when your grouting especially with the more course grouts etc?

All questions like that I have myself, too, John, maybe it's an epoxy case? Hoping for more info...

Well, this is again 1 new technical thing that is not covered by the acutual BS - or does BS give some rules on how to lay metal-tiles the thin set way? 😳 Always think of your guarantee you have to give.
Therefore best thing is to ask the manufacturer for his (written) recommandation how and with what to lay & grout his metal-tiles.

I am curious for the answer. By the way: Nice homepage, mosaic girl. Greetz from Germany, Martin

I am not sure Mosiac-fix, good though it is, would be the best addy for Stainless Steel. Think bal only recommend Flex or Fastflex for fixing to metal.

Mapei Keraquick with latex plus may also be suitable. The Black Book says check with Mapei Tech Support for clarification.
