Not sure where to put this post as the original request for a tiler is now closed. Anyway I got about half a dozen responses to my request and, once the screed had dried out, the job was done last week by Diamond Tiling Company of Nantwich (Crewe). Prior to engaging Diamond Tiling, Dominic had answered my questions and given me loads of helpful and practical preparatory advice. Heavy, variably calibrated sandstone tiles, were finished off as a beautifully level floor. Their attention to detail and methodical approach was reassuring. Job was finished as per quote on time and on budget. I shall use them again for the next stage of the refurbishment. I am going to try and upload some initial images if I can find the right place to put them on this site.
