Absolutely scorchio here today, so taking the kids and the pooch to the beach for a lazy day, then back home to give the grass it's first cut of the year and may even take the cover off the bbq. Anybody else making the most of this fine day?

Just had a BBQ myself. Good day out with the mrs and sprog first, then back to the in-laws for a good barby. A lot warmer than yesterday around here, and yesterday was good.

I look forward to much more of this.

Just got back from the charity golf event, raised around £400 for sport relief from it. After a shakey start, I finished middle of the field, quite pleased as I havent picked up a golf bat since October.

been really hot here again today, took Gabriel to a party this morning and took pooch down a canal walk while he was there, dog even plunged in or a swim!! me and G got home and Lou and Harrison had been and got vittles for bbq. Us boys took shirts off and I put garden sprinkler on for boys and Ruby.BBQ for tea, didn't need to cut grass as I've already done it twice this week

"vittles" is "food" Tom, think it has Nordic origins as does a lot of our dialect up here in the Lake District
