Is there any discounts for the first order to temp me to buy the CT. I would be interested in giving it a go, Cheers

Hi tysfoot,

There's always bargins out there if you go looking, I would suggest setting up an account at your local CTD, that way you'll also get discounts on a whole host of other products (providing you use them more than once a year of course, hehe).

My offer also stands, come and see us at the HBR show from 10th-13th April at the NEC, if you send me your details i'll post you out some free tickets, then decide, who knows their might be a bargin to be had on stand G185.

Best regards
Andy

£20 for a 25 mtr roll

I would not pass judgement till u have used it

Gud product rate it highly

There r 2 types of tilers out there there 1 ones who have been tiling years and years and can Silicon well

then there r those who can't Silicon to save their lives ie Me

If u were in Sheffield i could show u a live example of how the corner tape works

1. As it says it produces a perfect Silicon finish which no tiler can achieve through the finger and a bit of spit or wot ever people use.

2. As for thew question y is it so expensive that is a gud one and am with u on that.

I mainly ever do small jobs where it is used on worktops etc

Supose on a long run it wud soon add up

Few weeks ago i got the customer and made a point of showing her that i did not spare any expense on her tiling

Little things like that set some of us apart.

I am not the cheapest tiler far from it but never used second rate products.

All the best

Hi Raja,

Hehe, i think you answered your own question about why its expensive in your statement in 1. which i've numbered above . But don't forget that its also the time spent, or not spent, cleaning up a mess of a bodged job that the customer has called you back to put wright. (not you by the way Raja, cos you use cornertape, hehe)

In answer to your 2. Again, i would have to say this, its 80p per metre at SRP, so 3 metre's of splash back @ £2.40, that sounds cheap to me, especially if you don't get stressed doing it, you'd probably save that money in not having to use kitchen roll to clean up the mess that people normally get into, as well as saving time on the job, hehe.

As you know, because you've used it, if people think about the bigger picture then they will start to understand what we and you are saying.

Some people use cheap as chips tile adhesive, some use the best money can buy, if anyone comes up with the answer to that one, then please let me know, we'll be rich.

Best regards to ya Raja

When i was at it tiling in my peak splash backs 1 after the other looking back now if corner tape was known to me i wud of used it

Don't get me wrong i don't think it is overly pricey

End of day u get wot u pay for

When i got that tape off u i already put it on a quote and still got it after 3 jobs

Lots of tilers in the industry competative pricing and all that

Makes most think that products of these nature are a waste of money

Am sure 1 day it wil b used like spacers r in tiling

PS let me know in PM how i can order the 2.5mm if u have got it yet

Hi Daywalker,

I have a feeling that you may have mis-understood what cornertape is, take a look at the demo video at www.cornertape.co.uk click on the link for 'DEMO VIDEO' then post your thoughts,

Best regards
Andy@CT

Hi Big-Smudge thanks for the info and the video demo i now get the picture.....

I've not had to use any thing like that as yet, but buy the time you've applied the ct every where i have usually sealed a bathroom up as necessary!
applying Silicon sealer is not a quick task but with plenty of practise you could become neater and consistant.

regards Mark

£20 for a 25M roll, nearly fell off my chair. Looked at video and looks a nice product but that price is ridiculous. Can see reply that was given from Tysfoot question but to give it a "because it is the best" ain't really acceptable, not for a roll of tape.
Great product but that price is a tad on the high side, also don't think it is THAT time saving really.

Must be making a good 800% profit on what it takes to make the product.

Hi Penno,

Thanks for your feedback, just a couple of things.
I'm sure that you would agree that there are many tilers out there that find Silicon a pain in the butt, (this has been our experience through talking to many thousands in the U.K and Europe).

As stated in some other posts on here about Silicon 'its a bit of a black art', this product does enable tilers that previously found applying Silicon a challange to finish the job without spending hours getting the Silicon done properly, and with a finish that they are happy with.

It really is everyones choice as to buying the product or not, there's a minority of guys that will never use the product because they concider themselves to be very good with a Silicon gun, and our hats go off to them, its not for everyone.

800% profit, (i wish)

Again please come and see us on stand G185 and then decide for yourself at the HBR show in April.

Best regards
Andy,
