I want to personally thank Gaz for all that he's done for the forum, the forum members / readers, and the forum's tiler's customers - who problably don't know that they've actually been helped by Gaz in most cases.

Gaz has been in the industry for donkeys, as they say. Working as a tiler for some time but needing to get off the tools due to health reasons he started to work for Topps. He quickly shot to Assistant Manager but I felt Topps didn't deserve such a guy... I'll not say more on that though. He then shifted to Giant where he was clearly still happy working within the trade but never felt he was using his skills to the best he could.

Though now the story is different. Our Gaz has managed to wangle a job with BAL. Gaz used and sold BAL and those that know of Gaz's forum contributions you'll also know he strongly recommends BAL. But since he needs to concentrate 100% on his role within his new found love / career, he'll be needing to step down from his moderator position on our little spot on the net here.

Thanks big Gaz for all your hard work. I'm sure the addiction wont be cured that easy.

Well, what else can I say that hasn't already bees said, think you know how important I thought you were to the forums and still are, hope you can still find a little time to contribute, you can see from the responses in this post already how much people respect you opinion on all matters tile related. The needs of your job and family far out-weigh the needs of the forum though Gaz and let me just wish you all the very best with your new job and hope it lives up to your expectations as I know it's a job you have chased for some time now. Good luck and keep checking in every now and then to keep us up to date with your progress.

I just got in and followed the link from my e-mail to this thread...... not much surprises me these days, but this news got me lol. We are all on this forum Gaz looking for help, advice or sometimes just a bit of camradarie. Ultimately I guess we are all looking to make enough money to give ourselves the lifestyle we choose. But success is not all about money...... if I had made the announcement you have just made, and got this response back, I would be well bl**dy happy. You are clearly a popular guy Gaz, due to your contribution to this forum and the real people you have helped and supported, you deserve your accolades, and I personally wish you the best for the future
