Did anyone else see it? We did, :hurray:gorgeous views of it from our house, first solar eclipse to happen right on the Winter Solstice sine 1638, did you know?

Damn It - I thought the winter solstice was on Thursday..........lost track of the date having finished work for Christmas.

I was up and about at about 5am (as per usual) and was watching various stages of eclipse,,,,then the damned only cloud in the sky settled on the western horizon for over an hour and so i missed the total eclipse, but did get some pics of the early stages.
