Just a quickie, Recently there was a post asking for a tiler in my area for a very large stone job ( i will keep it vague to protect the innocent). I made contact with the chap and we spoke at length about his project. I heard nothing more until two months later, the chap rings me up in a hell o0f a state. He had gone with a tiler on reccomendation from a friend and half way through the job he discovered the tiler was using an incorrect adhesive for the substrate, the customer even checked with the manufacturer and they said NO WAY, not suitable. Anyway to cut a long story short he said he wishes he had used me(and he is well aware I only began properly in Feb) and I am now doing the rest of the house, both floors in Jan. I commend you guys for the technical knowledge you can glean from this site, cheers.:party3:

Since joining in September I have been on this site nearly every day. I just came here to ask for some advice on grout IIRC. I got all the advice that I needed.

I've since used 4 of the sponsers to supply stuff to me. Wetdecs, Dave @ Trade Tiler, CTD and 365 Drills. I've found them all a pleasure to deal with. Thanks guys.

In addition you've all been a great help throughout my first wetroom, with which I'm very pleased with.

More recently I asked about plastering, Doug, Whitebeam, and a few others have been brilliant in giving me advice on this subject.

Dave, well he's introduced me to bass - thank you fo my impending mid life crises.

Dan, well he's had the forsight to create this site, he will probably never fully appreciate how many people he's helped, and how much.

That is all I can think of right now, there are other topice you've helped with.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.
