What is the point in seeing a rheumatologist....?You're right Andy. Just got back from Hospital and this is the exact procedure the orthopaedic consultant talked about. Basically they aren't going to do anything right away as I am on the highest dose of painkillers they are willing to prescribe and I have a consultation with a rheumatologist in January. It seems that pain, lack of sleep and lack of income is irrelevant. The scan has in fact revealed I have 3 prolapsed discs. One is fully extruded (stage 4) and two are prolapsed (stage 3). I'm phoning the hospital on Monday to vent off and actually try and get somewhere. Paying to go private may be the only option!
Cheers for the support everyone, it's appreciated 🙂
Imo....the NHS is failing miserably at the moment........ Not so much for life and death situation..... But for people in pain, even chronic pain...... They fail.... 🙁
