Won’t you be able to see water in your oil if it’s the head Andy?

Morning all. Kids up early as predicted!

@Andy Allen ..... remove the oil filler cap an see if there is a milky sludgey oily residue on the cap. An easy test for a blown gasket. Also check if you have white smoke from exhaust.

That's this morning job !!
Check the oil... See for any signs of water.
It's an 05 Renault traffic.
I didn't realise I had a problem till a warning light came on and the temp gauge was through the roof..
Stopped and put some water in the cooling system... Then it was OK..
Just need to find out why I'm loosing water..

Easy fix mate, 20 litre container suspended in the cargo area at the back with an iv line to the water bottle, job done. 😀😛

It will almost deffo be the head gasket. My old '08 Vivaro went not long before I sold it. Wasn't as much as I was expecting if I recall correctly.
